With the fall of Saigon, the capitol of South Vietnam, the North Vietnamese forces moved in to capture the city. At almost eighteen months old, I was fleeing my native born country along with tens of thousands of other South Vietnamese refugees in April of 1975. My American father was not going to leave me or my Vietnamese mother behind. We were quickly moved onto a military cargo plane with nothing more than the clothes on our backs, as the mass exodus began, and as the Vietnam War came to an end with the institution of the communist regime.

Mildred Ashley was born in the Philippines and moved to Texas in 1992. Ms. Ashley is bilingual in Visaya/Tagalog and English. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she started college to become a nurse. Halfway through the program, she moved to Texas and later received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Arlington. She then received her law degree from Texas A&M University School of Law in May 2015 and was admitted to the bar in November 2015.

Ann is a Workers’ Compensation attorney at Bailey & Galyen since May 2018. She serves clients who have been injured on the job and are seeking medical and financial help due to injury sustained on the job. She has previous experience in construction and real estate law.

Lauren was born and raised in Houston, Texas, where she completed her high school education at one of the top preparatory schools in the country, St. John’s School. After graduating, she traveled to Austin, Texas to participate in the psychology program at The University of Texas at Austin. It was there that she developed the knowledge and skills to help people through their struggles. As a result, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and even received the distinguished honor of being accepted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. Lauren then moved on to receive her Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law and was further honored with the AmJur Award, twice. She has been happily practicing law in the State of Texas, in good standing, since 2010 and has been a certified mediator since 2016.
