Mr. Barbeito was born and raised in Mexico. In 1998, he received his Bachelor of Laws from Universidad Contemporanea, Queretaro, Mexico, and in 2001 he became licensed to practice law in Mexico. In 2003, Mr. Barbeito earned his LL.M. degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, and was admitted to both the New York State Bar and the Missouri State Bar in 2005. While his admission to the Texas State Bar is currently pending, Mr. Barbeito passed the February 2010 Texas State Bar Exam and has fulfilled all requirements for admission in the state.

Mr. Barbeito is an immigration lawyer handling removal and deportation cases, as well as immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services and U.S. Consulates abroad. Mr. Barbeito has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association since 2007.

In addition, Mr. Barbeito assists clients in structuring international business transactions, drafting business agreements, general business law issues, as well as Mexican law related matters.

Mr. Barbeito oversees and serves as lead counsel on all immigration files for our McAllen, Harlingen and Brownsville offices.
