Ms. Carboy is a trial attorney and Registered Nurse who specializes in complex litigation involving health care. Ms. Carboy uses her experience as a health care provider to help victims of medical negligence. Ms. Carboy is also a frequent invited lecturer for attorney and health care organizations. In addition to achieving successful settlements and verdicts for clients, she vigorously strives to improve health care in Texas by negotiating settlements that include changes in hospital policies and mandatory continuing education for defendant health care providers. Based upon her experience and other qualifications, Ms. Carboy is recognized as being board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law. Ms. Carboy has achieved a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating. This rating is the highest level of professional excellence recognized and is based upon a peer review process.

Ms. Carboy was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1991 and is authorized to practice law in all state courts in Texas. She is also licensed to practice in the Northern District and Eastern District of the United States District Court. Ms. Carboy is on the Board of Directors of the Texas Association of Trial Lawyers, the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association and the Texas Association of Nurse Attorneys. Ms. Carboy is a member of the Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association of Nurse Attorneys, the American Nurses Association, the Texas Nurses Association and the American Association of Women's Health, Obstetric & Neonatal Nurses. Ms. Carboy is also a maintaining member of The College of the State Bar of Texas. This is an honor society chartered by the Supreme Court of Texas to recognize lawyers who make an extraordinary commitment to professional education.

Ms. Carboy's cases have been featured on Dateline, and she has appeared on Good Morning America, CNN, The O'Reilly Factor and the Dallas ABC Affiliate -WFAA.

Ms. Carboy has been a soloist and Corps de Ballet performer and teacher in several dance companies in Ohio, North Carolina and Texas. She volunteers in her children's school organizations, and has served on the board of directors for her Homeowner's Association.
