Attorney Profiles

Connie Howell brings twenty-five years of family law experience and a varied background, including years of social service work, to the firm. Ms. Howell’s twenty-five years in experience has been in Harris County, Texas and the surrounding area and has included experience in all areas of family law.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Ms. Howell had a career in social services, including experience as a caseworker with the Texas Youth Commission, a juvenile probation officer, director of a home for adolescent girls and a supervisor with Children’s Protective Services in Harris County.

Having matriculated from South Texas College of Law in May 1982, Ms. Howell licensed to practice law in the State of Texas in November of 1982.

Finding that family law, including divorce, custody, child support, parentage suits, modification of parent-child relationship suits and termination of parent-child relationship and adoption was her passion, Ms. Howell met the rigorous requirements of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and became board certified in Family Law in December 1989. Her certification in Family Law has been renewed every five years since 1989.

Ms. Howell has served her community through volunteer work as a mediator and mediator trainer for the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center, as well as serving as a mentor through Houston’s I Have a Dream program. She has served as a volunteer lawyer and mentored volunteer attorneys in Family Law through the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program.
